Practice Focus
Mr. Winter’s practice focuses on civil litigation, including class actions, primarily in matters involving the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and severe personal injury. He is also involved in the firm’s appellate practice.
Professional History
Prior to joining Ellis Law Group LLP, Mr. Winter was an associate attorney in a small El Dorado Hills law firm representing plaintiffs in personal injury and civil rights cases. Representing clients in counties throughout Northern California, he acquired significant experience in litigation brought against public entities.
Before his admission to the California State Bar, Mr. Winter was a law clerk at Ellis Law Group LLP. He also represented entrepreneurs and small business developers as a member of the Business and Community Development Clinic at McGeorge School of Law.
Education
Mr. Winter graduated from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, in 2004 with a double major in English and Political Science.
He received the degree of Jurist Doctor in 2007 from McGeorge School of Law, University of The Pacific.
Professional Affiliations
Mr. Winter is a member of the California State Bar and is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court in California’s Eastern District. He is also a member of the American Bar Association. |
