Mr. Reeves is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on general civil litigation and complex litigation in matters involving class actions, legal malpractice defense, and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Fair Credit Reporting Act defense.
Professional History
Prior to joining Ellis LaVoie in 2008, Mr. Reeves practiced as a litigation associate at Greene, Chauvel, Descalso & Minoletti, in San Mateo, California, where he handled a variety of complex business and consumer matters in state and federal court, and in arbitrations before JAMS and AAA. While at Greene Chauvel, he represented produce clients before the United States Department of Food and Agriculture (USDA) on licensing and collection matters arising under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act of 1930 (PACA).
In 2004, Mr. Reeves worked at Sun Microsystems, Inc. with its chief privacy officer addressing a variety of employee and customer-related privacy issues at the state, federal, and international levels. In 2003, he studied abroad at the University of Munich and the Max Planck Institute in Munich, Germany, focusing on European and German intellectual property systems and anti-trust, with comparative reference to U.S. systems.
Mr. Reeves is a member of the California State Bar admitted to practice in all state courts, and he is admitted to practice in all U.S. District Courts in California.
