    Daniel D. McGee

    Practice Focus

    Mr. McGee is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on litigation and complex litigation in matters of professional malpractice defense, real property rights, and business and commercial law.

    Professional History

    Mr. McGee is an experienced civil litigator who has regularly practiced in federal and state courts since 2002. Prior to joining Ellis Coleman in 2006, Mr. McGee practiced two years with Wanland and Spaulding (formerly, Wanland and Bernstein), a firm specializing in business and real estate litigation. Mr. McGee represented both plaintiffs and defendants in trial and appellate courts as well as in arbitrations.

    From 2002 to 2004, Mr. McGee practiced in the Law Offices of Edwin J. Zinman, a San Francisco boutique firm specializing in dental malpractice litigation. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. McGee also clerked for the firm while attending law school. Mr. McGee was a certified law student/intern in the San Francisco Office of Public Defender from 1999 to 2000 at which time he gained his first courtroom experience.

    Mr. McGee is a member of the California State Bar and admitted to practice before all U.S District Courts of California.

    Education

    Mr. McGee is a member of Phi Beta Kappa who received his bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in 1994, graduating with high distinction and honors in history. He graduated in the top one-third of his class from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2001.

    Personal

    Mr. McGee was born and raised in Northern Illinois and moved to San Francisco in 1998 to attend law school. Mr. McGee is an avid musician, who plays guitar and piano, and a lover of history and literature. He also enjoys outdoor activities, including jogging, biking, swimming, kayaking, hiking and camping. Mr. McGee currently resides in Sacramento, California with his wife and their sons.
