David B. Leas
Practice Focus
Mr. Leas is an associate attorney engaged in civil litigation and
complex litigation involving matters of commercial law, legal
malpractice defense, personal injury, consumer law and premises
liability.
Professional History
Mr. Leas joined Ellis, Coleman, Poirier, LaVoie & Steinheimer, LLP in
2007. Before joining the firm, he worked as an associate attorney
with Holden Law Group, representing employers in employment-related
litigation. While in law school, Mr. Leas served as an extern to the
Honorable Richard R. Clifton of the United States Court of Appeals for
the Ninth Circuit, and also worked as an intern in the Financial Litigation Unit within the office of the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of California. Mr.
Leas is a member of the State Bar of California.
Education
Mr. Leas graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Advertising. In 2005, he graduated with distinction
from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. At McGeorge,
Mr. Leas was a member of the Roger J. Traynor Honor Society. Mr. Leas
also studied at the Salzburg Institute in Salzburg, Austria.
Personal
Mr. Leas was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Mr. Leas is an avid cyclist and also enjoys showing dogs in AKC Conformation events. Together with his fiancee, he owns and shows two Rhodesian Ridgebacks.
