Ms. Gregory has a broad civil litigation practice and represents individuals, professionals and businesses in all aspects of litigation.  Ms. Gregory’s practice includes employment litigation, complex litigation, class actions, business litigation, catastrophic personal injury, and legal malpractice defense.

Professional History

Ms. Gregory joined Ellis LaVoie Poirier Steinheimer & McGee, LLP in 2008. She began her career in Los Angeles in 2001 when she joined Daniels, Fine, Israel, Schonbuch & Lebovits LLP as a summer law clerk. After her admission to the California Bar in 2003, Ms. Gregory remained with the Daniels firm as an associate, where she obtained substantial experience in all phases of litigation in a wide-variety of practice areas. In 2006, Ms. Gregory was recruited to join the Sacramento employment firm, Basham & Parker LLP.

While with Basham Parker LLP, Ms. Gregory represented employers in litigation and administrative hearings in a broad range of employment law matters, including claims for breach of contract, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, unfair business practices, violation of wage and hour laws, and numerous other tort and statutory employment law causes of action involving the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, California Labor Code, Family Medical Leave Act and workplace privacy laws. Ms. Gregory has also conducted numerous workplace investigations related to employee complaints and pending lawsuits.

Education

Ms. Gregory graduated magna cum laude from California State University, Sacramento in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Public Communication. She then received her Juris Doctorate in 2003 from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, graduating in the top third of her class and receiving a Concentration Certificate in Advocacy. She was admitted to the California State Bar that same year.

While in law school, Ms. Gregory was a member of the Mock Trial Competition team, the Associate Managing Editor and Staff Writer for The Transnational Lawyer, a member of the Dean’s List, as well as a student attorney with Community Legal Services. She is licensed to practice in all of the courts in the State of California, and all the United States District Courts in California.

Professional and Civic Associations

Ms. Gregory is a member of the Labor & Employment and Litigation Sections of the California State Bar, the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section, Sacramento County Bar Association Barristers, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Ms. Gregory is also an active member and serves on various committees as a co-chair for Active 20-30 Sacramento #1032, a non-profit organization which benefits Sacramento's underprivileged youth.
